Top Open-Source Network Monitoring Tools of 2023: This provides proactive management rather than reacting to issues as they happen. ![]() Network Monitoring gives administrators a clear view of the devices, services, applications running on their network and the opportunity to track the availability/performance of these resources. No matter the case, one thing that becomes quickly apparent is that there is a need to make sure the network is operating as it should and one of the ways to ensure that is Monitoring. That would help me (and I am sure others) out.You may have been involved in the design and implementation of a network or maybe you came on-board after the network had been built. I have seen some that people have posted but they did not work for me equipment. I would like to see temp files on how to configure net-snmp on the Linux side to work woth Orion. I see tons of postings that people have the same problem I would think that more support would be available from Solar Winds about this. You sell a product and says that it supports Linux but the truth is that it does if you can get it to work on your own without the help of Solar Winds. I asked if they had any docs on how to set it up and I was not able to get that as well. If you could provide some type of support for net-snmp the latest version and maybe a couple others that would help. The support team told me that I needed to run a script but they could not tell me what that script was. The problem is, that this is not what I was told when I ask about Linux support before I bought the software. I called the support group and they told me that I was kinda on my own to figure how to get it to work with Linux. Give any kind of support for Linux would be a big help. ![]()
